Jody Patterson
CLINICAL PSYCHOTHERAPIST
Jody is a State of Kansas Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist and an independent practitioner at The Therapy Center. She has experience providing assessment and treatment to children, adolescents and adults. Jody has extensive experience treating severe depression and anxiety. She has completed training in providing specialized treatment to individuals struggling with emotional regulation and to those who have experienced trauma. Jody has experience mediating conflict within families and helping them to find new ways of working together. She is dedicated to providing treatment that is evidenced based with compassion for the person. Jody utilizes a collaborative approach with those she is working with.
Jody has over 20 years experience providing mental health services to children and adults in community mental health. She began her career at Pawnee Mental Health Center as an adult case manager serving adults experiencing a severe and persistent mental illness. After completing a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, she moved into an administrative position while also providing therapy in a rural community. Before joining The Therapy Center, Jody worked for COMCARE of Sedgwick County for 11 years most recently as the Director of Rehabilitative Services.
Jody is married with one grown son. She is an avid gardener and woodworker.
